Sydney Driscoll Neuroscience Award
In 1994, the SDNF Trustees decided to encourage education and research in the Department of Neurosciences by offering an annual award to a trainee or student in the Neurosciences of approximately £1000 for an original paper, either clinical or research based on a Neuroscience topic. The recipient of the monetary Award was encouraged to use the funds to visit a Centre of Excellence in the UK or abroad to expand their knowledge of expertise in relation to their career. The Award was made only if the material submitted achieved the expected standard.
The SDNF intends to continue the Award.
A total of £1000 will be awarded to the two best submissions. The recipients of the Award will receive;
– 1st place: £600
– 2nd place: £400
The Awards will be presented at the annual lecture.
Those eligible to apply are Medical Students from the University of Lancashire (including students from the American University of the Caribbean located at the University of Lancashire campus).
